What is Saudi Arabia Virtual?

Saudi Arabia Virtual (SAV) is a flight simulation virtual airline built around four of Saudi Arabia's real-world carriers — Saudia, Flyadeal, Flynas, and Riyadh Air. We simulate their real routes, real aircraft, and real operations across a marketplace-driven economy that rewards every hour you fly.

We support all major simulators — Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, and Prepar3D. All flights must be flown online on IVAO.

Joining SAV

There is no registration form. Click Register on the website and you will be redirected to log in with your IVAO account via IVAO Single Sign-On. Your SAV profile is created automatically from your IVAO credentials — no extra steps needed.

Flying on SAV

All flights must be flown online on IVAO using our ACARS client. There is no manual PIREP submission — every flight is tracked automatically. A disconnection of up to 30 minutes during a flight is acceptable and will not invalidate your PIREP.

Your ACARS captures everything — landing rate, G-force, fuel usage, flight duration, route flown, block time, taxi speed, pause time, and any violations. All of this feeds into your pilot record and wallet automatically at the end of each flight.

Your Pilot Wallet

SAV runs on a virtual dollar economy. Every completed flight earns you dollars based on your current rank and block hours flown. You spend those dollars in the marketplace on type ratings, operator licenses, and flight packages.

How the System Works — The Four Keys to Flying

To operate any flight on SAV you need four things aligned. Think of them as four keys — all four must be in your hand before a route is unlocked.

Key 1 — Pilot Rank

Your rank is automatic. Fly hours, gain rank. No applications, no tests, no waiting for approval.

Key 2 — Type Rating

A type rating certifies you on an aircraft family. It is purchased once and never expires. One type rating is valid across all airlines that operate that aircraft.

Key 3 — Operator License

A type rating certifies you on the aircraft. An Operator License certifies you on the airline. Each airline operates its own procedures and standards — you need a separate Operator License for every airline you want to fly with, matching the aircraft you hold a type rating for.

Renewal: Operator Licenses must be renewed every 6 months at the same cost as your original purchase. If your balance is insufficient you can still renew — your wallet goes negative and you fly to recover it.

Key 4 — Flight Package

A flight package unlocks the destinations you can fly to for a specific airline. Packages are purchased once, never expire, and cover all cities within that region including seasonal destinations.

Putting It All Together — A Practical Example

Let's say you want to fly for Flynas on domestic Saudi routes and eventually expand to their European network.

ACARS — Installation & Setup

ACARS is the client that tracks your flights and submits them automatically to SAV. You must use it for every flight.

Installation

• Download the ACARS client from the Download page on the website.
• Extract the downloaded archive and run the installer.
• Launch ACARS — on first startup it will take you directly to the configuration page.

Configuration

URL & API Key

On the settings page you need to connect ACARS to your SAV account. You can either enter your URL and API Key manually, or download the pre-filled config file from your profile page. To get your API Key or download the config file, visit your Profile.

Simulator Selection

After entering your credentials, select your simulator and set the path to its root folder. Each simulator has a specific requirement:

• MSFS 2020/2024
• X-Plane
• FSX / P3D

Flying with ACARS

• Book your flight on the SAV website — find a flight and add it to your bid list.
• Load your flight in ACARS — go to Search in ACARS and load your booked flight. Payload values will be filled automatically. It is recommended to leave them as-is and make sure none are zero.
• Set your route — you can add it manually, or it will load automatically if you have linked your ACARS to your SimBrief account.
• Connect to IVAO and go online, then start your simulator and begin the flight. ACARS will track everything automatically.

Bonuses

Real-Time Flying Bonus — up to 7.5% extra

Deductions

Flight Score Deduction — Every flight starts with a perfect score of 100 points. Violations deduct points. Your earnings are reduced by the same percentage as the points lost.

Aircraft Damage Fine — A hard landing below −600 fpm, a tail strike, or an engine strike sends the aircraft to maintenance and issues a fine from your wallet based on the severity of the damage.
